Gary Shadlock

Gary has over 35 years experience in construction. Prior to specialising in dispute resolution, Gary worked as a quantity surveyor for a variety of contracting organisations. This enabled him to obtain a broad understanding of issues affecting the successful delivery of construction projects, including issues surrounding entitlement to time and money.

Gary has extensive experience in the management and settlement of major construction disputes. He has provided advice to contractors and client organisations on issues affecting all aspects of the project life cycle, from procurement through to the resolution of the final account process. Gary regularly provides advice on the settlement of complex construction projects. He supports clients in the preparation of claim documents and submissions across standard form and bespoke contracts.

Gary has acted as an expert witness and party representative in adjudications in respect of quantum and delay issues. This has required Gary to advise, represent and support parties in structured negotiations (including mediation) and adjudication proceedings.

Gary enjoys golf, Kung-fu, playing bass guitar and country walks.
