Ross is a planner and delay analyst, specialising in the preparation and defence of claims for extensions of time.
Starting his career with a main contractor, Ross worked as a construction manager across a range of commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use projects. There he gained experience managing subcontractor packages throughout the construction process. He also gained exposure to risk management, trade coordination and project planning tools. This included initial experience in the preparation of contractor delay and disruption claims.
Having a particular interest in the use and management of complex data, Ross supplemented his work experience with an MSc in Business Analytics. He used applied systems dynamic modelling to demonstrate how humanistic biases and rounding errors were leading to significant reporting errors in the project controls systems of major infrastructure projects.
Ross subsequently accepted a position with a project management consultancy. Initially engaged as a project manager, Ross quickly found his skills and data management abilities made him particularly adept at programming. He transitioned into a dedicated programme and planning management position. He advised clients on programme strategy as well as monitoring and coordination of live construction projects. This often led to work in delay and disruption, and to the role of expert witness on a number of adjudications.
Since joining Tudor Rose, Ross applied his previous experience to the analysis of delay and programme information. He was worked on a extension of time assessments, progress monitoring roles on live construction sites, developed delay analyses and contributed expert evidence in several adjudications.
Ross is proficient in a range of planning and project management software tools and is experienced in the use of various delay techniques. Away from work, Ross enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, travelling, and has recently started learning Spanish.
