Job Description

Overview:

A chartered quantity surveyor with experience in international projects and the construction disputes arena.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ non-contentious construction experience.
  • Minimum of 20 years’ overall experience.
  • Must have an eagerness to maintain and develop their own contact database and undertake marketing collaboratively.
  • To be located in the UK with the ability to travel to respond to international matters.
  • The applicant will have received previous expert instructions regarding High Court or International Arbitration proceedings.
  • Experienced in the preparation of CPR 35 compliant submissions in response to timetable directions.
  • Having given oral evidence in the above is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work on multiple commissions concurrently.
  • Able to manage others and provide clear directions to those who provide a supporting role.
  • Experience in building a support team and providing mentoring and training to those individuals.
  • Sound knowledge of various standard forms of construction contract (JCT and NEC essential).
  • Recognised expert witness training, such as Bond Solon or similar, is advantageous.
